Ashley and I tried to buy what we thought were mangos from this woman on the side of the road, at first, she would NOT let us buy the fruit, she kept pointing at it and sneezing. We assumed this meant someone had sneezed on the fruit? Ashley and I were okay with washing the fruit, it was sitting on the street after all, so we insisted on buying the mango look-a-likes. The woman kept talking at us in Korean and then she wrote us a note, in Korean! Still not helpful to enhance our understanding of the fruit. Our mouths were drooling over the assumed mangos, so we bought them anyway.
Once we got home and cut into the fruit,
we were disappointed to discover that the fruit was not mango.
The message says: "Sugar Jenada(?), good for cold flu."
They are currently very hard, hopefully they'll taste good when they ripen up.
Elephant spotting!
